Taggz

Save together. Get paid on your day.

Taggz is the susu crew in your pocket. Everyone pays their share every day, and each day one member gets the whole pot, paid to their own mobile money.

How a crew works

The rotating savings your family has always done, with the reminders, the record keeping and the payouts handled for you.

  1. Form your crew

Start a crew of 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 people, one for each day of the round, and invite them with a code.

  2. Pay your share

Every day you pay the agreed amount, from GH₵1 up, by mobile money.

  3. Get tagged

On your day, the whole crew pays you. Paystack puts it in your mobile money wallet the next working day.

  4. Go again

When everyone has had their turn, a new round starts. Pay on time and you unlock earlier turns.

What it costs

Two fees, shown before you pay. No subscriptions and no interest.

GH₵10

Once, at sign-up

Paid from your own mobile money wallet. It confirms the wallet is yours, so your payouts can only go to you.

1%

Of each share

Taggz keeps 1% of every share paid in your crew. There is no minimum charge.

Paystack

Processing fee

Paystack, our payment processor, charges a small fee on each payment. It comes out of the share the receiving member gets.

Example. In a 7-person crew paying GH₵10 a day, six members pay you on your day. You receive GH₵59.40 after Taggz's 1%, less Paystack's processing fee.

Your money goes to people, not to us

Taggz is built so that we never hold your savings.

Straight to the member's wallet

Each share is processed by Paystack, which is licensed by the Bank of Ghana, and goes directly to the tagged member's own mobile money. It never sits in a Taggz account.

Verified wallets only

Payouts can only go to a mobile money number its owner has verified with the sign-up fee.

Early turns are earned

New members take later turns. The early turns, where a member is paid before they have paid in, go to people with a record of finishing rounds.

Missed payments have consequences

Miss your share and your turn moves to the back until you catch up. A member who is paid and then stops paying is barred from Taggz.

Questions

Is Taggz a bank or a savings account?

No. Taggz does not take deposits or hold money. It organises your crew and sends each payment through Paystack straight to the member whose day it is.

Do I earn interest?

No. Like a traditional susu, you get back what your crew pays in. Taggz pays no interest and charges none.

When does my pot reach my wallet?

The next working day. Paystack, our payment processor, pays out the day after a share is paid, but not on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. So if your turn is on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, your pot arrives on Monday. The app shows you the date.

What if I miss a day?

Catch up as soon as you can. Your missed share goes to the member you missed. If you are behind when your own day comes, your turn moves to the end of the round until you have caught up.

What if someone in my crew stops paying?

The members after them receive less that round. That is why early turns go only to members with a record of finishing rounds, and why anyone who is paid and then stops paying is barred. Taggz does not hold money, so it cannot make up a shortfall itself.

Who can join?

Anyone in Ghana aged 18 or over with a mobile money wallet in their own name.

Can I get the sign-up fee back?

See our refund policy. The fee is refunded if you were charged by mistake or charged twice.
